General Info
Each June towards the last week of the month Funcom celebrates Anarchy Online Birthday since birth on June 27, 2001. Special quests, new building for your city or special mob spawns maybe included. New and extended paid subscription promotions often occur at this time. Each year the promotional items and events vary. The celebration lasts for about three weeks.
16th Anniversary 2017
The celebration began on June 27, 2017 and ran until July 16. As the previous two years, The Tinker returned and the large green present gave out {{safesubst:#if:|of the Desert Rider/302501/ {{{3}}}|Gifts of the Desert Rider}}.

14th Anniversary 2015, Year of the free Desert Nomad Armor
The anniversary celebration ran from June 25, 2015.
The Tinker returned. This year, summoning the Desert Rider took 500 items. Gifting 250 of those items to the Tinker was yet another method of obtaining Vacuum Packed Desert Nomad Armor
All attendees to a Desert Rider kill could also walk into the giant green present to receive a {{safesubst:#if:|of the Desert Rider/302501/ {{{3}}}|Gift of the Desert Rider}}, which also had a 20% chance of being Vacuum Packed Desert Nomad Armor.

13th Anniversary 2014
The anniversary celebration ran from June 27 to July 11, 2014. Extending memberships by four, eight, or sixteen months cost only 75% of the normal amount (the cost for 3,6 or 12 months, respectively).
Goodies

Lowbie twinking items were offered for membership as well. The Overheated Shoulderpad was given to all membership durations; it adds +1 to all abilities plus +3 to Treatment and Computer Literacy and +1% XP. Overheated Light Tank Armor was given to those extending memberships by eight or sixteen months; it is back armor with +1 to all abilities and +100 to Tutoring.
Three implants were offered for extending membership by sixteen months:
- Threefold Shiny Brain Twinking Implant With all three of its clusters Shiny, this gives 13 Intelligence, and 20 to both the Computer Literacy and Treatment skills, which is at the very least, 3 more CL.
- Threefold Bright Eye Twinking Implant. This offers the skill dependency advantage of Intelligence at the same time as CL and/or Treatment (8 Int = +2 CL), and the advantage of having all of these at the same time. Intelligence 8, and 12 CL and Treatment.
- Threefold Faded Right Hand Twinking Implant.
All three require 30 Agility and 75 Treatment to install. All of them are "hacked to include three X clusters", where X is the Shiny, Bright or Faded of their names.
12th Anniversary 2013
The 12th Anniversary celebrations started on June 22, 2013 at 17:00 GMT when the Advisors of Rubi-Ka held a part at their ARK Island of Ceremonies. Parties continues all weekend long at various locations with plans for more on the following weekend.
On Monday June 24, 2013, Funcom announced the rest of the festivities in their post (alt post).
Returning from last years celebration are the free Jet Pack, The Tinker, and Desert Rider returned. In addition, visiting ICC, you would see mobs from Subway and Totw.
Goodies
- Full set of QL300 Desert Nomad Armor in a vacuum pack is given by The Tinker when she receives 250 gifts from a player.
Dust Brigade Parasite Helmet is awarded If you buy or extend your membership by 3, 6 or 12 months by July 8, 2013.

10th Anniversary 2011
The 10th Anniversary in 2011 started June 22 and lasted four weeks. There was live parties in Montreal and in game parties as well. A new raid mob Desert Rider was being spawned by giving party gifts to The Tinker obtained from the Desert Nomads wondering the desert. Besides the party gifts Desert Nomads dropped nomad armor parts and social items. In addition, parts for the Org City Sauna building became available again. There was other stuff like hecklers wearing party hats but they still were just as mean as ever.
