Newland Desert

Also known as NLD, is located North and East of Newland. At the Stolt's Trading Outpost area, there are many significant features. There is a Whompah to Newland City and Hope at (2196, 1567). There is a Fair Trade store with Advanced/Superior vendors. Windcaller Karrec will give players a pass to teleport quickly to the Temple of Three Winds

In the north of the desert is the small city of Meetmedere, where Uncle Bazzit has his workshop. Meetmedere is accessible by the first floor above ground in the Grid. It is a good spot for getting missions between level 60 and 80.

The east end of Newland Desert, affectionately known as Rhinoman Cockpit, is blocked by a high ridge with the green glowing slime running in a canal next to it. Those without air transport will find the slope too steep to climb except at the north and south ends. There is also a tunnel through the center of the ridge at (3248, 1959). The Clan guardpost on the west end of the tunnel is guarded by six Male and Female Watchers and a Watch Leader. The only Minibull Dyna Camp in RK is just east of the passage, and the ICC guards on that side will attack creatures that are attacking players as the guards in the Backyards do.

Players may buy the map upgrade Map - Newland Desert, to enable them to see all features of this zone on the PF Map. The Map Navigation skill requirement to upload this map is 45. Spending Improvement Points on Map Navigation is not recommended; instead use Implants, Nano Programs that increase Agility, Sense, and Psychic, and the points that are gained by the increase of those abilities.

Missions

• Daring Antidote Mission. Through the ravine east of the wompahs in the Rhino Valley, Herbalist Gerard gives a Find Item Mission, part of the Alien Invasion Missions series. Aliens drop the Unidentified Toxin he needs. Rhinomen drop the Restorative Herbs he seeks. The reward is five Daring Antidote Stims that remove a debuff Kyr'ozch Generals cast
  
• Nodda Gregg's Missions Young Brontos at the oasis south of the whompahs drop Bronto Meat, one of two Bronto drops required.
• Deidre Needs a New Gun Bazzit's Alien Library is required for the third Alien Invasion Expertise Perk, and Uncle Bazzit in Meetmedere will give it to you, after a long mission that introduces the player to the Smoker's Lounge faction. Players who want a +20 NCU 5 slot belt that equips in 10 seconds may wish to continue the quest to get Overclocked Belt Component Platform
• Like Fine Wine: The Temple of Three Winds can be accessed through a portal at the Trading Outpost. The mission to get Red Berry Wine from the Temple is obtained in Newland City.
• Social Armor Mission Simon Stark gives the player Antiseptic Protector
