Probe
Small, lightweight, and hovering to reduce the chance of detection, these devices contain not only specialized sensors but light energy armaments as well, and will defend themselves if attacked. Some will attack without being provoked; the ones at mission targets always will, unless they are very low level.
Common at low levels, their numbers thin out fast at medium and high levels.
The Probes that continue to operate, either Rogue or on assignment, are specialized for different tasks than the ones that were sent to Rubi-Ka to prospect it, and survey it for future habitation. Even so, they are the closest thing to the first ever 'explorers' of Rubi-Ka.
