Shark
Like all the animals of Rubi-Ka, Sharks are mutated descendents of Earth animals brought to terraform the planet. Ancient even before the Long Winter and Emancipation Wars, these streamlined predators were a natural choice for terraforming animals, and thrived on Rubi-Ka. A freak accident with Omni-Tek's terraforming machinery led to the what had been the ultimate evolutionary survivor becoming one of only two species introduced to RK, the other being Piranhas, whose population became endangered. They are now presumed extinct.
Faunlore: "Recently, as Omni-Tek attempted to upgrade its weather control system, the process had some undesired environmental effects. These effects included the assumed total extinction of the Piranhas and the Sharks."
Out Of Character: Piranhas and sharks were removed in a patch.
