A difficult mission[edit]

Completed this mission first time through, but it was a close one. I had access to a player city teleport to Baboons, and a Yalmaha, and I cannot see how Clans without at least one of those things could complete the last part, with only ten minutes to get to each of five NPCs. Omni would be even worse, as there is no shortcut to Old Athen at all, and the safe way to the southeast corner of OA is via West Athen on the second floor of the grid.

Finding Smokey and Brenda was of course no problem, as the quest visits them earlier, and Coco and A Dancing Fool are easy to find, but Sirocco is a little tricky, and Meetmedere has a hundred little buildings to look on all four sides of, so stick to the PF Map and coordinates rather than trying to search with your eyes.

I agree that Omnis probably have it much worse. I just finished this for the first time ever, on my clan fixer, and I didn't find it that hard really. Of course, I died a few times to guards in omni entertainment, but that's only because I didn't know their locations. I had nothing but Grid Phreak and Grid Runner, no beacon warps or whatever, and even Grid Runner was more convenient than necessary, I could have done it without. It's 10 minutes per NPC, btw, not 10 minutes for all 5 of them.
The only problem, which would have required extensive preparation and research, would have been to actually learn the exact location of the NPCs, but since those are already in the guide, the most time-consuming part is getting the necessary credits and the nano-tubes, and the most difficult part for clanners would be learning the best routes in omni ent. I dont think I'll make an omni fixer, so I wont know exactly how hard it is for omni, but clan was not hard, only time-consuming. Hackworth 18:05, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
