Shade Weapons

Weapon Skills

Ideal weapons require the piercing skill. This is best because this is the only melee skill that is buffed by your own nanos and perks. This results in the highest possible piercing skill that you can get compared to the other weapon skills. Another melee weapon skill that is worth putting points into is the Multi Melee skill, as this will allow you to dual wield two different weapons, increasing the number of hits that you make, reducing the time in which you fight a mob.

Weapons

There are weapons that rely on one or more weapon skills for attack ratings. These are split into two categories, one involving the Martial Art skill, and one that does not. Weapons that have the Martial Art skill under the Attack section will cause you to sometimes hit with your imaginary "foot". This results in an extra third hit. However, since this third hit is based on your Martial Art skill, you will not cause as much damage as you would with your piercing skill. In addition, using a weapon with a Martial Art requirement also splits your attack rating in to two. The amount of skill you have with piercing is halved, and it is added to the amount of Martial Art skill you have, also halved. The sum total usually is less than if you had used a fully piercing dependent weapon. However, some weapons make up for this disadvantage with extra damage, which some people prize over attack ratings and attack hits. Therefore this page will list both sorts of weapons for your perusal.

The tango dirk is a weapon usually used in lower levels, mostly for its low attack and recharge times. The Tango Dirk also requires brawl, which is a dark blue skill for shades of most breeds. Therefore, the attack rating of brawl would be lower than liked, due to the expensive skill. However, due to the low minimum damage, the recommendation is that you don't use this weapon in the upper levels.
