Simon Silverstone

Simon Silverstone is the leader of the largest Clan on Rubi-Ka, the Sentinels. He is an extremist who believes only in the complete destruction of Omni-Tek. His clan is based in Wailing Wastes, Tir, and Mort(which is rumored to be a secret underground city named Sparta). His hatred extends to the neutrals as well. He considers them almost worse than Omni-Tek because of their inability to choose a side. He is a very charismatic and blunt leader who is not afraid to say what he thinks or shoot the enemy instead of talk.

History

Before his leadership of the Sentinels Clan, Simon Silverstone was a farmer with a wife and children. As the war moved closer to home, Mr. Silverstone shed his neutrality and enlisted into the clans, conducting many operations against Omni-Tek. It is rumored that Omni-Tek leadership heard of Simon Silverstone in the attacks and decided to make an example of him. According to Silverstone, they went to his home, couldn't find him and burned it to the ground, killing his wife and children. Since then, the Sentinels have grown to become the largest clan on Rubi-Ka, with the sole purpose of eliminating the Omni-Tek threat, avenging his wife and children, and declaring Rubi-Ka free.

Controversy

There is no doubt in anyones mind that Silverstone is determined to exact his revenge on Omni-Tek but in his hatred, he has spawned a lot of negativity from the neutral population. When the Sentinels moved into Tir to take it back from the ICC, he declared that it was to be a clan-only city and that any non-clan that set foot there would be shot on sight. The neutral population still sees this as a threat to to their neutrality. Debate and argument rage about this topic occasionally to this day.

Simon Silverstone has never been in favor of diplomacy through the Council of Truth. On one occasion before the signing of the Tir Accord, he publicly denounced the Accord and cited that the Council of Truth betrayed the clan cause and left the Council.

When the Council of Truth formed again after being destroyed by the Dust Brigade, outside support from the Council of Ares and other pressure, Simon Silverstone won the position of Speaker of the Council, having more clans who supported his radical viewpoint. This stunned the planet. Neutrals worried about invasion and Omnis were dismayed and alarmed that the clans, who had supported peace in the past had now said overwhelmingly that they were ready to fight.
