Quest

Quests are assigned by an NPC. In it you are required to return specific item(s) or kill a specific target. The reward for completing a quest is the same each time it is completed. A quest may consist of one or more missions. The active mission for a Quest is listed in the mission window.

You might think missions and quest are the same thing but they are not. Missions are often randomly assigned with random rewards. Daily missions are similar to quests but they are geared more with leveling than providing your character with items.

A quest is more of a journey to learn more about RuBi-ka, meet people, and obtain items that will improve your character. A quests is often repeatable. For quests that requires an item, you can often get the item before starting the quest.
