Alappaa

Patch 17.5 introduced a new team instanced play field in Penumbra that is connected with the Penumbra story quests. Apparently Jobe Explorers and Yuttos guides happened upon this terrible area and sealed it off from normal access, but enabled a teleporter to enter one part of it so that the curious could explore and the brave find ancient riches. This area is similar to Albtraum in that each team that enters gets an instance all their own to explore and fight through without competition from other teams. Among the amazing loot found in the frozen canyon, the fabled Galatic grade Arul Saba gems can be found.

Walkthrough

While this are is simmilar to Albtraum, it is far more linear in its repeatable goals, so the task of the matter ends up doing a series of quests for the Old Man of Alappaa.

The Long Walk

Boss: Cascading Molokh

Once business has been handled with the other mobs along the path, and the coast is clear, you will need to face down the Cascading Molokh. This boss has one major trick that can make the fight difficult even for some groups of max level characters: he spawns adds constantly. We are not talking like one or two, or even three or four, the Molokh just keeps spawning them for as long as you are fighting! The adds are not very difficult, but can start to overwhelm the team based on sheer numbers if you do not have some sort of crowd control (like a enforcer or a crat) or a dedicated add killer. Once the Cascading Molokh is dead, he will drop two crystal compounds (generally one gem and one robe) and a Bane of Ice item that is needed latter.
