Anarchy Online
Definition: A Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) developed by FunCom. Anarchy Online is a futuristic and sci-fi based game that takes place on the planet of Rubi-Ka and in the Shadowlands.
Anarchy Online was one of the first games to use Instance technology[1] and the first to popularise it with their initial release. It is one of the longest running MMOs. It has enough appeal to be on Steam. Its loyal following and thorough, diverse and enabling game mechanics give it enough clout to be accessible without Steam, and to be allowed on Steam despite retaining a subscription model.
