Reets are a staple of AO in a similar way to Leets, but while the latter is a satire, Reets are entirely AO's invention. Otherwise they are both diminutive low level cute critters that attract attention to themselves.
Tradition subverted somewhat by Arete Landing, where the Greedy Reet takes on attributes of Leets, demanding the Shiny Sword in Leetspeek and all capital letters.
Cuty George Polly and Oscar, named Reets with special items.
