Turn Spirits are items that are used to make the Spiritech Weapons usable by Froobs. In the process, the weapons are so much turned against their faction (Redeemed or Unredeemed) that the side related to the opposing faction, (Omni or Clan, respectively) can use them.
These are a tradeskill, like the first upgrades, but since they actually reduce the capabilities of the weapon, they are more like a downgrade with benefits. For example, had a pistol been given the special attack upgrades, and then a Turn Spirit was added to make it a Pistol of the Maker, the special attack would be removed. On top of this, the weapons are all locked to a side and a profession, and flagged NODROP. Nonetheless, since Turn Spirit damage ranges tend to be fairly high, and the Shadowlands equipping requirement is also removed, these weapons are very popular for those who live only on Rubi-Ka, or even those who spend significant time fighting there.
Acquiring Turn Spirits is of course impossible for Froobs, and a matter of some difficulty for paid players; however, they can be traded. They drop very occasionally from high level, named, sided boss mobs in the Shadowlands in all the areas, but the drops are pretty spotty and it would take a lot of time to try and find just the right turn spirit. The other option is going to a Yuttos Books and Manuals merchant and buying a Turn Spirit Flesh Pouch. This item will generate a random Turn Spirit when it is opened by somebody with 700 Breaking and Entering. This method is a fairly costly approach rather than time consuming, like the last; the best method would be to try and buy the Turn Spirit you need from another player who picked it up while raiding a sided boss or trying to get their own weapons made.
All Turn Spirit weapons have a different name for the QL 300 version than the others, this has been included on the table below as the name behind the slash in most cases.
A cursory examination of the weapons' equipping requirements would make them seem to be unapproachable for Froobs; look at the requirements for QL 200 to 250 ones, not the 300s; these are achievable.[1] Then contrast the damage on those to that of other weapons; it is comparable.

The combination of items in Anarchy Online works as follows:
Open the tradeskill window (Shift + T). Here you can place the two items you want to combine in the left and middle part. The resulting Item will be shown in the right area. Missing skills, or non possible combinations will be shown below. A detailed look on the resulting item is possible with a simple shift-left-click on it. It is recommended to have free inventory space before combining items, else the item will end in the overflow window.
