Instaling Memory chips into belt are basic way to increase your NCU memory space to store buffs in. A character can have up to six NCU chips installed, depending how many slots their belt computer allows. There are other items that add bonuses that can be installed in a deck slot as well.

Low QL chips are buyable at stores (Tools shop). QL over 125 can be found only as a mission loot.

Standard Chips

These chips are commonly found or bought in stores. Qls after 125 must be found in missions or purchased from other players.

Standard NCU Chip

Standard NCU chips simply increase the amount of total NCU space you have available and nothing else.

QL Range: 1 - 200

Computer Deck Range Increaser

This chip will increase the range at which you can execute any program on a target.

QL Range: 50 - 200
Deck Slots: 3

NCU Coolant Sink

Coolant Sinks help you by reducing your chance of fumbling a nano program either due to lack of overall ability or because of being dealt damage.

QL Range: 10 - 200
Deck Slots: 4

Hardcore CPU Upgrade

CPU upgrades add a varrying amount of % Nano Cost decrease that lowers the nano pool cost of casting nano programs.

QL Range: 40 - 200

Nano Formula Recompiler

This item directly adds to your Nano Program Initiative, which makes executing programs faster.

QL Range: 20 - 200

Classic Game

Accelerated NCU Memory

ID NOT FOUND
This chip can be tradeskilled from common NCU memories and recompilers, and adds some Nano init but also requires Intelligence to equip.

Morphing Memory

This chip is a common drop in the Subway dungeons frequented by new players. It is a Leveling item that is dependent on Psychic and Computer Literacy. The Memory adds some Nano Resist as well as NCU space.

Dark Memories

ID NOT FOUND
This mysterious memory chip is much sought after by many explorers in Temple of Three Winds for its low Computer Literacy requirement to use, but it also adds to Max Nano Pool and Root resistance. They randomly drop from Lien the Memorystalker.

Memory Loop

Memory Loops are a rare drop from Lien the Memorystalker in Temple of Three Winds and like Dark Memories they have low Computer Literacy requirements to use compared to normal memories, but they have no other special abilities.

Enhanced NCU Chip with Recompiling Core

These memories drop in the BIOMARE dungeon and come in a range of QLs. They are a valuable addition to the setup of many casters for their ability to lower nano costs.

Mnemonic Fragment

Similar to a Dark Memory, Mnemonic Fragments drop from named mobs on the third floor of the Inner Sanctum dungeon. This is one of the best memories, in terms of NCU, that can be had from Rubi-Ka and it also adds a small amount of nano energy and 1% root resistance.

Safeguarded NCU Memory Unit

ID NOT FOUND
This chip is very difficult to get as it drops from General Kronilis, of the Dust Brigade generals. For those who can manage the fight, the chip is locked to those 180 and above. It adds some AC, Intellegence, and Nano Energy.

Standard Juggernaut Nano Containment Module

ID NOT FOUND
Another hard fight, these chips drop from Omni-Pol Command Juggernauts and are locked for Clan use only. They add some energy weapons skills in addition to the memory space.
