Gift Wrapped Basket
To make Service Towers, a Multi-Purpose Tuner is required. This quest mission gives a MPT as a reward.
Reward: Multi-Purpose Tuner NODROP
There is a good deal of time given to complete the mission, and like most missions, it can be restarted if the time limit expires. All the same, obtaining the required Gift Wrapped Basket before meeting with the mission contact saves time.
Required item: A Gift Wrapped Basket containing a box of fine Cigars and two bottles of Cognac [NODROP][UNIQUE]
Omnis start this quest with Supply Master Eel in the southwest of Avalon, at coordinates 800 x 1600
Clan players start it with Supply Master Smug in the northwest of Wailing Wastes, at the Sentinels base.
Neutral players may be able to speak with either Supply Master, but an English translation (Google automated translation, unfortunately poor) of the German AO Devs Wiki says, "Since 16.0 patch speaks Eel no longer neutral, it remains only for the Smug Quest." A thorough search of Patch 16.0 notes reveals no details, so, proceed at your own risk. Other guides recommend going to the Clan base as it is less well defended, and there are certainly fewer Control Towers at the Clan Base entrance.
Dialogue with Supply Master Eel
- Supply Master Eel: Actually, speaking of special requests... I have one more thing you can bring me.
- <Player Name>: Sure. What do you need?
- Supply Master Eel: Well, if you stumble upon any unusual goods, like cigars or expensive spirits.. Throw them my way. I might even give you a little something for the trouble. Oh...and Kaehler Jr likes his gifts wrapped nicely - so save me the trouble of doing that, ok pal?
One of the Generals walks by, making Eel lower his voice.
- Supply Master Eel: Remember to keep our business low-key. We'll both be in a world of pain if someone finds out.
- <Player Name>: Goodbye
Mission: Bring a box of cigars and some bottles of cognac to Supply Master Eel. Make sure they are nicely wrapped up
- Supply Master Eel: Don't forget to bring me those Sentinel armor peices!
- As he turns you hear the soft voice from his personal holographic intercom: "A shipment of Omni Elite Armor was just returned to us from Omni-Engineering in Omni Prime. It is waiting for you in Storage Area 52, sir."
- Supply Master Eel: Oh, it's on now!
- <Player Name>: I have a gift wrapped basket containing the unusual goods you needed..
- Supply Master Eel: Amazing... Now remember NOT to tell anyone about this. Hand it over.
