Multi Ranged is a skill required when equipping a second ranged weapon. If a weapon does not show a requirement for this skill, it cannot be equipped with another weapon. The only type of Nano Program that can be cast on another character to improve this skill is 'Composite Ranged Special Expertise'. Skill points required to equip weapons are sometimes for that weapon only, sometimes a combination of weapon skills, and sometimes a combination of weapons skill(s) and Ranged Special Attacks skills. Hotswapping
Hotswapping: all weapons can be hotswapped, which means the buff that the weapon being unequipped provides will apply towards satisfying the requirements of the weapon being equipped.
