The Tier Armor is an armor set that was introduced with the Shadowlands Expansion. It is a profession-specific armor set, and is aimed at providing modifiers to fit the needs of each profession.

Evolution

The Tier Armor is a tradeskilled armor, and each part is a levelable item. If you have the needed skills, you can upgrade it by right-clicking it until you reach its max QL. Once the Max QL is reached, you have to evolve your armor (through tradeskills) to the next Tier.

The Tier 1 Armor is evolved from Jobe Armor, and can evolve to Tier 2 Armor. The Tier 1 Armor QL Ranges 100-160.

Availability

All of the Jobe Armor parts don't have an evolution into Tier 1. Some parts (Helmet / Shoulderpads / Back armor) are available only starting on Tier 2 or Tier 3. Availability changes from a profession to another. Still, Tier 1 availability is the same for all the professions : Chest / Boots / Legs / Sleeves / Gloves.

Crafting

In order to craft a said part of Tier 1 armor, you need the corresponding Jobe Armor part. You'll also need a Profession-Specific Glyph (note that one glyph is needed for each part of Jobe Armor that you want to convert into Tier 1). Theses Glyphs need a number of components to be obtained.

For one part of Tier 1, here's what you will need.

  • 3 x Visions of the XXX (profession specific)
  • 1 x ID NOT FOUND Consanguinal Embryo of Annwn'Guinee
  • 1 x ID NOT FOUND Canister of Pure Liquid Notum
  • 1 x Profession Specific Novictum

Visions of XXX

Theses visions can be obtained by killing the mobs in the Elysium or Scheol Catacombs, and are random drops from any normal mob. It has been suggested that Visions drop more frequently in the Elysium Catacombs. There are 3 types of Visions, and you'll need visions of a said type depending on your profession. Note that theses visions ARE NOT NODROP.

Note that there's a NPC in front of the Jobe Harbour Professional Hall (IPS Building) that can you can trade visions to. The trade is at a rate of 3 Visions of a type for a Vision of the type you need.

Profession Specific Novictum

Theses items are a common drop from spirit mobs in Elysium and Scheol. They are NOT NODROP

Here are the types per profession :

  • Soldier : ID NOT FOUND Porous Novictum Stone
  • Trader : ID NOT FOUND Fragmented Novictum Crystals

Canister of Pure Liquid Notum

Theses are common drops on sided (Redeemed / Unredeemed) mobs of the shadowlands. The Canister must be QL 80+ for Tier 1 crafting.

Embryos

Theses drop from mobs in Scheol Catacombs. They seem to have a better droprate off bosses. Theses are NOT NODROP

Crafting Process

  • Go see your IPS in Jobe Harbor Professional Hall, and tell him you have the items for a Yellow Glyph. When he asks so, trade him the 3 Visions and the Embryo. You'll get a Yellow Glyph of XXX (Aban/Enel/Ocra)
  • Combine the Canister with this Yellow Glyph to get a Glyph of XXX - Awakened (This part can be done by a tradeskiller)
  • Combine the Glyph of XXX - Awakened with your Profession-Specific Novictum to get a Glyph of the YYY (Name changes, depending on your profession) (This part can be done by a tradeskiller)
  • Use the Glyph of the YYY on you Jobe Armor part to get your Tier 1 armor part. The Jobe Armor being NODROP, you must do this part on your own. It requires some Computer Literacy (couldn't tell how much, but on the top of my head it is something like 450)
