The Alien Invasion expansion brought the introduction of Organization Cities built by players on Rubi-ka that can be visited by other players. These cities serve as icons of the organization's power, a place to call down aliens to fight, and as a source passive buffs for the members of the Organization.

Building Types

  • Regular Building Structure
  • Superior Building Structure
  • Special Structure

Superior structures require more tradeskill steps than Regular structure. A complete QL 300 superior structure a tradeskiller will need EE 1350, Pharma 1050, Chem 1050, ME 1200, and CL 1500.

Special structures are constructed using a tradeskill formula unique to them.

City Lot

A city lot needs to be purchased before buildings can be planted. It is recommended to have a HQ Building Structure constructed before purchasing a city plot. If one is not planted within 24 hours, the organization will loose the lot along with their purchasing credits. Then wait 48 hours before being able to purchase it again. Only players that are part of the organization, are using an account that includes Alien Invasion, and are of high rank in the organization should purchase a lot can purchase a lot, because only they can plant buildings.

There are two types of city lots instances and non-instanced. Instance lots are only available at Serenity Island. They are similar to non-instanced lots with two noticeable differences. No Market building is allowed. Only organization members can access the instanced city lot location without an access card. Instanced cities are designed for Alien City Raids, provide city buff benefits, and give ready access to a city lot for purchasing.

Non-instanced lots are scattered across Rubi-ka. They vary in size, terrain, and expense. They become available for sale when their owning organization cannot pay the monthly upkeep for the lot. This makes getting a non-instance city lot more challenging to find. Their main benefit is a Market building which allows members to sell items from a shop terminal which intern generates income for the organization through sales commission.

Building Construction

Quality level of a building

The next thing you need to know is what QL building you want to make (Range: QL1 - QL300). The QL of a building is decided by one item used in the process : The Generic Organic Immunity System. A QL300 will give you a QL300 building, and a QL1 will give you a QL1 building. Simple and easy. You can buy them in Bazzit shop in Meetmedere, but he only sells max QL75, so if you want to make higher QL buildings, you need to get them elsewhere.

Some organization building do not provide any added benefit at a higher QL. Using a low QL Generic Organic Immunity System for these buildings is fine.

High QL Generic Organic Immunity Systems

The way to get higher QL Generic Organic Immunity System is to gather Solid Clump of Kyr'Ozch Bio-Material. Alien Drop. These can be refined by using a Kyr'Ozch Structural Analyzer. The only problem is that clumps can turn into several (15?) types of items, so cross your fingers and hope for Kyr'Ozch Viral Serum. This is what you need to make a high QL Generic Organic Immunity System. You also need a Manteze Scout Nasal Membrane. RK drop. If you find a QL300 Clump you can (if you are lucky) refine a QL300 Kyr'Ozch Viral Serum that will end up in a QL300 Generic Organic Immunity System.

Now, If your serum was QL300 you have a QL300 Generic Organic Immunity System and are ready to make a QL300 building.

Making Regular Building Structure

To make any kind of building (regular or advanced) you always need to make a Regular Building Structure. The QL of this structure is, as mentioned, decided by the QL of your Generic Organic Immunity System, and will also decide the the QL of the end product. You need to buy (Shop in Meetmedere) Generic Volatile Nanobots, HSR Compressed Regenerating Bioplate (one per building structure, at least ql 100) and Blueprint - Regular Building Structure (Reusable tool) to make a Regular Building Structure.

Be aware that there are 3 types of HQs and Markets (Floorplans) :

  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large

QL 1-100 = Small QL 101-200 = Medium QL 201-300 = Large

Be sure to pick the right one. :) Using a QL300 Superior Structure on a Small HQ Floorplan is NOT a good idea.

Note: that Floorplans are NODROP.

Planting the buildings

Planting a building requires the character to be in an account that includes Alien Invasion, a member of an organization, and highly rank. In a department organization you need to be the president or general. To plant or modify your city you need to right click the City Controller and enter the build tab. Drop your building into the build section, and you can now move it to the best fitted location in your city. Keep in mind that most buildings will by default face north. By using the rotate button it will rotate 90 degrees counter-clockwise. Most buildings larger than 1x1 also have a facing dot so you can easily see what direction the door is facing.

WARNING: If you demolish the HQ building your entire city will go poof.

WARNING: Currently lower rank organization members can buy a city plot but not plant an HQ. After 24 hours if no HQ is planted that organization looses that plot and cannot purchase it again for 48 hours. The credits spent to purchase the plot are not refunded.

City decoration

A plain city with only buildings can be boring, so be sure to stop by the Bazzit Shop in Meetmedere and buy some decoration. Here you can get whompahs, trees, lamp poles, statues etc.. Enjoy :-D
