Deflect[edit]
Basic Info:[edit]
- Deflect was previously (pre-18.7) called Parry.
- Deflect is a requirement for equipping certain weapons and combat based items.
- Deflect is a defensive stat that and not a melee special. Deflect increases the chance that incoming attacks (in both PvE and PvP) will be downgraded to Glancing Hits. Depending on the incoming attack type, a Glancing Hit deals 0%, 50% or normal (100%) damage. Glance chance is 0%->10%, between 0->3000 Deflect skill. Specific mechanics for different incoming attack types are:
- Non-special weapon/Martial Arts (unarmed) attack: Glance is 50% damage.
- Fast Attack: Glancing hit will deal normal damage.
- Fling Shot: Glancing hit will deal normal damage.
- Sneak Attack: Glance is 50% damage.
- Aimed Shot: Glance counts as a miss with 0 damage.
- Backstab: Glance is 50% damage (on the damage calculated before applying the backstab multiplier).
- Brawl: Glance is 50% damage.
- Burst: Per bullet: Glance is 50% damage.
- Dimach: Glance is 50% damage.
- Full Auto: If a shot is glanced, all subsequent bullets will do 50% damage.
