Chirops, Saurian-like creatures found everywhere on Rubi-Ka

Mob is said to have come from the word 'Mobile', to distinguish enemy NPCs, who could move when attacked, from friendly NPCs, who stood around all day. However true this may remain as a tendency, it is no longer true as an absolute. The more so in Anarchy Online, where NPCs not only roam or patrol, as in other games, but can be attacked and killed and will not only defend themselves as well as any other mob, but give chase, and some 'enemy' mobs such as Cannons and Plants are not mobile.

At any rate, the name stuck, and mob is the standard word for NPC enemies in Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games (MMORPGs) including Anarchy Online.

Unique Monster

AO is unique, if you will, in creating singular monsters like the Alpha Skincrawler and R-2000 Vermin Disposal Unit; there only exists one of them because they have a place or purpose in the Rubi-Ka galaxy; they are for storytelling purposes as much as a gateway to another area or loot.
This category lists all Monster that are unique.
Some of them can only be found in special Dungeons or have a long respawn time. But all of them hold good loot for you.
